1 Peter - Prepared to Endure

May 29, 2022 • Billy Dyer • 1 Peter 4

When it feels like the world is against you, and trials and expectations are upon you, will you crumble or will you endure? Move beyond defeat, and find out what it takes to truly overcome any opposition that comes your way. The world tells us that suffering is to be avoided at all cost or, if we must suffer, that it is pointless. But the Christian understanding is different. God calls us to endure the suffering and gives us some ways to prepare for it. Join us as we walk through the letter from Peter to the scattered church.

October 31, 2021 • Billy Dyer • John 9:1–2

1 in 5 adults in America experience some form of Mental Illness. Is it even a real thing? If a Christian suffers from Mental Illness, does that mean they lack faith? Are Christians allowed to take medications for mental health reasons? Does the Bible have anything to say on the topic? Indeed, it has a lot to say!

Reclaimed

January 30, 2022 • Phillip Murdock • 2 Corinthians 5:17

Our culture loves to reclaim and repurpose just about anything. From pallets, to old windows to old wooden barrels, we will find it a new home and a new purpose. What a great parallel to what God does for us when we surrender our lives to Him. He reclaims our stories, even the messy parts, and He gives them a new purpose; to glorify Him. Join us during the month of January as we discover the many ways that God reclaims our lives and the lives of others.

The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry

February 27, 2022 • Billy Dyer • Matthew 12:1–8

We are all in a hurry to complete the seemingly infinite task list of our lives. Between answering emails, responding to phone calls, business meetings, household chores, and kids (!), there never seems to be enough time. Seldom do we stop to think about what this constant rushing does to us personally and to our lives. It is time we think about God's rhythm for our lives and the great gift of Sabbath He has given to us.

The Good Shepherd

Join us today as we examine John 10, and see what Jesus has to say about the shepherd and the sheep. Here is the link to the announcement from the Leadership Team, which contains additional information about the new elders and the process used at LifePointe to select elders.

Join us Sunday as we look at the book of 2 Kings to see how we should react when God blows our expectations out of the water!

Snow Day 2022

January 16, 2022 • Phillip Murdock • Matthew 8:24–26

Our guess is, this storm will likely keep some from working today. Not so much here, but west of us for sure. It certainly has cancelled any outdoor plans you might have had for today. Chances are, some of you have been aggravated by this weather. You have things to get done. Places to go. However, what if we used this time to do something else... to simply STOP... to be still... to know that He is God. To consider his greatness and his smallness.
