Everything Jesus did came to fulfill scripture. Jesus lived His life based on the written word of God. Even when Satan came to tempt Him, He always responded, “It is written.” If you want to be mature, you have to become a student of the Word and not live from prophecy to prophecy and by each spiritual encounter. If Jesus lived his life letting the Word of God govern His life, how much more should we?

Understand that grace is a free gift, meant to produce ease and rest in your life. Don’t frustrate grace by trying to earn what God has already freely given.
