Keynote Speaker #1 – Part 1
May 4, 2015 • Rev. Steve Turnbull
Rev. Steve Turnbull explains the Biblical picture of discipleship to Jesus. Drawing on his own leadership in developing a disciple-making culture at First Lutheran Church in White Bear Lake, MN, Steve explains how discipleship is more than just a church program, an add-on after evangelism, or a next step for high commitment Christians. Discipleship to Jesus starts with our experience of God and includes the process by which God’s Spirit makes us truly human again. Steve is the Senior Pastor at First Lutheran Church in White Bear Lake, Minnesota and an adjunct faculty member at several seminaries. He has a particular passion for discipleship and leadership development in the church.
