Christmas Eve at Lake Sawyer is a moment to pause, breathe, and remember what matters most. The Christmas story reminds us that God doesn’t wait for life to be tidy or figured out — He comes close right in the middle of it.
Through the story of Jesus’ birth, we’re invited to see a God who steps into ordinary life, meets us where we are, and brings light into places that feel uncertain or unfinished. This isn’t a message about having all the answers — it’s an invitation to come and see for yourself.
We end the night with candlelight and song, a simple reminder that light still shines, hope is still alive, and no one walks alone.
Wherever you find yourself — full of faith, full of questions, or somewhere in between — there’s room for you here.
Toney shares the story behind Evergreen—an organization that has helped start dozens of churches across the Pacific Northwest, including Lake Sawyer. He walks us through the cultural moment we’re living in: rapid population growth, rising spiritual disconnection, and a declining number of churches. Instead of seeing this as a crisis, Toney invites us to see it as an opportunity—one the Church was uniquely created for.
But this message goes deeper than church planting. Toney reminds us of Jesus’ clear mission in Matthew 28: “Go and make disciples.” It’s not just a church-wide strategy—it’s a personal calling. Disciple-making happens in everyday life: around dinner tables, in neighborhoods, at work, in moments of compassion and hospitality. It begins with a simple question:
👉 Who are you investing your life in?
Through stories, scripture, and practical examples, Toney challenges us to put out a “welcome mat”—not just at the doors of our church, but at the entrance of our hearts and homes. When we love, serve, listen, invite, and show up for people, we reflect Jesus and open the door for life-changing relationships.
This message is a reminder that the harvest is still plentiful—right here in our city. And God has placed us in this community for a purpose.
If you’re looking for encouragement, direction, or a renewed sense of mission, this one’s for you. 💛
What do you want me to do?

In this message, we walk through the story of Bartimaeus in Mark 10—an overlooked moment where Jesus asks one of the most personal questions in all of Scripture: “What do you want Me to do for you?” At first it sounds simple, but it’s a question that reveals what’s happening beneath the surface of our lives.
As we follow Bartimaeus, a blind beggar pushed to the margins, we see a man who refuses to stay silent and a Savior who stops everything to call him close. Jesus restores his sight, gives him dignity, and welcomes him into the journey ahead. Through this encounter, we’re invited to consider our own desires, our own wounds, and the parts of our story where we long for God to step in.
This message unpacks how Jesus is not just interested in forgiving sin—He’s committed to healing the broken places in our hearts, minds, relationships, and lives. He brings shalom, a deep wholeness that goes far beyond coping or surviving.
Ultimately, this teaching challenges us to be honest with God, to ask for healing, and to trust the One who still asks us today: What do you want Me to do for you?
💡 Easter at Lake Sawyer | “Awaken” 🌅
Have you ever felt like you’re alive… but not really living?
This Easter, we explored the resurrection of Jesus—not as a distant event, but as a personal wake-up call. From Luke 24 and Romans 6, we see how Jesus didn’t just rise from the grave—He invites us to rise with Him.
🕊️ Awaken to Hope — Grief doesn’t get the last word.
🕊️ Awaken to Grace — Your past doesn’t define you.
🕊️ Awaken to Purpose — You were made for more than survival.
Jesus didn’t conquer the grave so we could sleepwalk through life. He rose so we could come fully alive.
📖 Luke 24:1–12 | 1 Corinthians 15 | Ephesians 5:14 | Romans 6
🙌 Let’s stop hitting snooze—and start living fully awake.
