The Lord Has Blessed Us

If you were asked to list the three great desires of your soul, what would they be? Would it be to remember God in all things, to contemplate God at all times, and to love God? It starts on the inside. And when it gets inside of us … we’ll come to appreciate all the tremendous blessings he has poured upon us. Today, I want us to think of how God has blessed us here at Cornerstone.

Who is My Neighbor?

“I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another” (John 13:34-35). What exactly is new here? In the kind of love Jesus is talking about, we see A deeper intensity and a love that is self-abandoning & self-sacrificing. Good deeds & goodwill are tangible evidence of God’s saving power working within us. Love and good deeds naturally spring forth from hearts growing toward God.

In the Middle of it All

God always takes care of His children. He is at work everywhere, bringing it all together for our eventual return to Him, where we will live with Him forever, having been delivered from sin, death, and decay. He will not remove all the trials, difficulty, and grief … instead, He promises to work through them to build our strength and deepen our faith. God is not detached or removed. He is not far away. He is right there in the middle of it all … in your life … in the same way, He has worked with His people from creation.
