God is not only the God of Israel but He is Lord of all the nations. Thus, he can speak authoritative to the nations. Interestingly, these prophecies while about the nations are actually spoken to Israel. Point being: First, your God, Israel, is Ruler over all, so trust Him. And second, you have become just like all of the other nations, so it’s time to repent and act distinctly in the world.
