Constantly Increase as You Dream with God!

Katherine started out the session telling the Partners that she is a native Southern California girl who loves In-N-Out Burger, Trader Joe's, palm trees and sunshine. She and Kirsten have been doing ministry together for over a decade.

Some of the topics that they teach on include remaining unoffendable, learning how to forgive, learning how to move toward your mission and purpose in life, co-creating with God, etc.

They love to see the lives of their students explode, have their minds renewed—going to the next level. Sometimes one word from the Lord is all it takes!

And that's what Kirsten and Katherine were praying for all the Partners … That just one word would completely change everything.

When they asked the Lord what He had for the group, they heard that the Lord desires to partner with the Partners.

When we come into a place of being able to support another ministry, it's such a blessing to that ministry, and of course we reap the rewards, the anointing and blessing that comes from that ministry.

Sometimes we can go through seasons where we kind of coast in that place. We might be happy just to be a supporter.

Sometimes we can adopt a mindset where we just think of ourselves as supporting characters.

We forget that the Lord has dreams that He has put in our heart and things that He desires us to go for.

People are from all different backgrounds who may have been pursuing dreams all their lives with the Lord. Perhaps you even feel as if you’re finally living the dream. Some are putting one foot in front of the other, faithfully moving forward.

Others have some beautiful dreams but they’re sitting on the shelf. Maybe sometimes you even walk over to that “bookshelf” and look at your beautiful dream sitting there. You might think about a powerful word you received in the past … and think that someday you will walk in that reality.

Katherine and Kirsten wanted to talk about partnering with God in pursuit of your dreams and what that means … not just at the beginning of the journey, but maybe seasons into the journey.

What does that look like? And how do we step forward?

We have to continually come to the Lord and keep dreaming.

Sometimes, it’s a frustrating process and it can be challenging when the more you dream, there's also discouragement …

So, there's this whole person that comes into the process of dreaming. We think: Do I want to do that again? Am I ready?

Kirsten and Katherine said that especially in this last leg of 2024 and stepping into 2025, they wanted to bring some fresh life to the dreams of God for you … those things in your heart … and empower you to step into that.

They referenced Genesis 1 in The Passion Translation:

When God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was completely formless and empty, with nothing but darkness draped over the deep. God's Spirit hovered over the face of the waters. And then God announced, “Let there be light,” and light burst forth!

The word “announced” is the Hebrew means to think, to imagine or to speak with your heart.

If you've had a dream that's bubbling in your heart, just speak it and think it and dream from within your heart!

There’s a process of thinking, dreaming, speaking and creating.

Genesis 1:11 in The Passion Translation says, God said, “Let the land burst forth with growth: plants that bear their seeds of their own kind, and every variety of fruit tree, each with the power to multiply from its own seed.” And so it happened.

You have been created to multiply! You have been created to bear fruit!

God created us in His image with the capacity to dream, to imagine, to speak it, and then to keep increasing!

Next, Kirsten and Katherine referenced Isaiah 9:3–7 and pointed out that God will increase the nation and multiply their joy, they will rejoice before you like the joy and jubilation of the harvest. And then in verse 7 it says, “Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end.”

Those phrases really started to bubble up as Kirsten started dreaming with God in this season and partnering with Him.

There’s the element of increase and multiplication that God wants to impart to us today … that He is actually speaking over you.

You are designed and created in His image to dream, to bubble up and to be able to continually increase.

Kirsten said that personally in her own life and journey, that used to be something that was really hard for her to believe. She used to wonder if she needed to keep growing. She didn’t know if she needed to keep expanding and growing. But the Lord kept highlighting this.

Growing and expanding is in our design and nature. Every day, every cell in our bodies multiply. Every day our hair grows. We are physically and spiritually designed to do this. This is within our own design, and we have physical reminders that we are created to multiply!

This is something that you can look at every day. It can change the way you look at your hair growing and your fingernails growing, and even the aging process … and seeing our reach over time.

Find out more at http://dougaddison.com/timeoff Shawn started out the session by saying that we're about to see a great deployment of Christians into culture and different places, and that's why the battle's been so hard … Because the enemy thinks he owns the airwaves and the media. The enemy also thinks he owns politics and the financial markets. When you look at what the antichrist is going to do in the book of Revelation, it's all about financial markets. So, the enemy already thinks he owns that, and yet Jesus has the keys! No one can take the keys from Jesus! Jesus owns the keys and He's distributing the keys to the Kingdom. These Kingdom keys are going to open doors that help bring about everything that needs to take place for Christ to return. Shawn went on to say, “Some of you are holding a key in your hand, and some of you don’t realize that that's why there's been so much war in your life.” Some of you also don't realize that's why there's so much war against Doug and Linda. There’s so much war because we're getting positioned for one of the most sovereign things that might ever happen in the world. Shawn said that today is important, of course … He’s not one of those people who is just a futurist and believes that tomorrow is the most important day we’ll live in. What we do with our keys today is very important. Shawn added that he and his wife are not waiting for the greater things to happen. They are just doing … being faithful with what they have and what they can steward today. For their children, for their legacy, for what God wants to do … and what God wants in this generation. Within Shawn is an insight that we’re headed for global revival. He thinks that’s why the darkness has permeated everything right now and why it’s become so obvious. God is about to launch all these industries and places for Christians to put a great display of what Jesus is like … through film, television, fashion, business, stock markets, etc. Sometimes Shawn has to look at some ugly stories and hard things, but he thinks of 1‌ Corinthians 2:16—that we have the mind (or perceptions) of Christ. If we have the mind and perceptions of Christ, both from reading the Bible and from understanding what He’s like, then He can relay to us what He’s thinking and feeling about the world around us. We can have a different outcome. We don’t have to struggle with anxiety. We don’t have to struggle with depression. We might have moments of anxiety, or grievous moments, but there’s some stuff inside of us where we can become an intercessor and not just report or talk about it. The beauty of God is so beautiful and so good. When we look at hard situations (like a country struggling with poverty), God has already prepared a whole solution. He wants to enact those solutions through people like us! God is the solution bringer! Seeing people get placed in a way that causes the world to have a before-and-after moment with Jesus is something that makes Shawn excited. It causes the world to see Jesus differently than they saw Him before. We’re seeing this in The Chosen, one of the most-watched shows in the world. This show is causing people to see Jesus differently than they ever saw Him before. We’re also seeing this in different campaigns like football games and the Olympics. Business leaders are now trying to get the world to see Jesus in a different way … because that audience will never go to church. Let’s invite people to see Jesus in ways they’ve never seen Him before! Hearing God’s voice and the prophetic is the secret sauce to this. Some of you have been growing behind the scenes, learning to hear God powerfully because God's going to use you in very visible ways, powerfully. You've been paying the price, growing behind the scenes, so God can activate you on a greater level! It’s like the parable of the talents. The Lord will multiply you because you were faithful. If you don’t feel encouraged, then come back to that place and ask, “Why am I not encouraged?” It might be because of where you have your eyes (focus). Shawn challenged the Partners to look at the concepts in Philippians 4:8: Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. If you look at bad news and only that, you will not be encouraged. You can filter those things by putting them behind you and focus on what God is doing … not what the enemy is doing or what man is doing wrong. Since Shawn works in media, those news items might still be on his grid, but they’re not his primary focus. If you don’t feel hopeful, think about what the Apostle Paul said. He told us over and over to strengthen ourselves in the Lord … to stabilize ourselves and anchor our faith. There has to be something inside of you where no one else is going to “anchor” you. Often we think, “If I could just follow a certain minister or get discipled … If I could just be a part of a certain ministry or do a certain thing,” that will anchor me. The reality is that those things can help you, but the only thing that's going to anchor you to a place of stability and strength is your own justification and the priesthood between you and Jesus. He is your High Priest. Shawn mentioned the reformer, Martin Luther, and how he nailed the 95 Theses to the doors of All Saints’ Church in Wittenberg. Luther was famous for saying, “The just shall live by faith alone.” Each person is justified by their own relationship with God. And you have to want this for yourself. No one else can make this happen for you. You have to want it with God's zeal and with His heart because He wants it more than we do … but no human can do that for you. And if you can get to that place and say, “Whatever's heavy, whether it's my children, grandchildren, my marriage—whatever it is—I can still learn to cast my cares on God in a dark time.” Doing this will pay dividends for your children and your relationships, because a lot of people can’t do it. That’s why we have a 60% epidemic of anxiety in America right now. 30% of Americans have debilitating anxiety. You might be part of that statistic, but you don’t have to stay there. There’s a place of grace for you, and perfect love casts out all fear. Anxiety is a part of fear. As we pursue God and get a biblical worldview, it changes our understanding of how we might normally operate. When our normal systems get upgraded, we get transformed and renewed. We become new, and it’s important that we believe that! Shawn ended by emphasizing that revival is coming, and we are going to see things like we’ve never seen them before. This scope of time is so ugly, but also everything is so possible because of it. Passivity is no longer our main struggle in the church because we can’t be passive with everything that’s going on around the world. It used to be that 60% of evangelicals weren’t even voting in most countries, but we’re seeing a big shift with that right now. We have keys in our hands, and we must do something! We have a voice, and we must speak! If we can open our eyes and see, we're actually in a time right now that might be the greatest time of modern history … and we get to participate in it! We get to be here. We don't have to be here; we get to be here. Allow God to come and move on you first …. because before revival happens in the masses, it happens in individuals. It happens with a few. Be the few… Let God revive you, bring passion to you and speak to you. If you already have that, let Him multiply it. Whatever is alive in you, God will multiply it! Bilocation—Doing Everyday Life While Seated in Heavenly Places

We can’t be sitting in a chair in the States and be in Hawaii at the same time—unless our spirits empower us to go somewhere else, we’re limited. Our souls can think outside of our bodies … but they still have limitations. Our natural bodies and souls both have limitations, but our spirit man does not have limitations. We can literally be bilocated! Patricia mentioned the new birth found in John chapter 3. Nicodemus just wasn’t getting it. He didn’t understand how being “born again” worked. When he asked, “How can a grown man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again?” he was confused. Jesus wasn't talking about the natural, He was talking about the spiritual, the unseen dimension. He said, “If I told you earthly things and you didn't believe, how would you believe if I told you heavenly things?” And then He said, “No one has ascended into heaven, but he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man who is in heaven.” Jesus was standing in the earthly realm talking to the physical person of Nicodemus. He was basically saying to Nicodemus, I know I'm here with you right now, but I'm actually in Heaven too. Jesus lives simultaneously in two realms—the heavenly realm and the earthly realm—and so do you! When the Scripture tells you that you are seated in heavenly places in Christ, your spirit man is actually already seated there. In John chapter 5, Jesus said He would only do the things He saw His Father do. Patricia said, “We know where the Father lives because Jesus taught us to pray, ‘Our Father who lives in Heaven …’” So, we know if Jesus was seeing his Father do things, He had that connection to Heaven. He only did on Earth what He saw in Heaven. There was this connection between Heaven and Earth … and between who He was in the physical and who He was in the Spirit. And that’s the same connection you walk in! In the new-creation reality, what makes it real is our belief in the truth. That’s where it starts. The first thing to do is agree with the Scripture and say, “I'm seated in heavenly places in Christ.” You may not even be aware of it right now. Patricia said that she wasn’t feeling any “heavenly essence” around her as she said that … But she just believes it, because her faith tells her that it is her reality. We are seated in heavenly places in Christ! Our first step to walking in this reality is understanding our bilocation. Our second step is believing what the Scripture says about our positioning. Live Free from Destructive Cycles & the Law

In this special excerpt, Ray Leight shares insight on things he’s learned from counseling thousands of people. He unpacks destructive patterns and cycles and gives keys for freedom. Find out more at http://dougaddison.com/timeoff. Ray Leight started the session by talking about some law-to-lawlessness cycles, and how to break out. He’s noticed that these things don’t apply all the time and there can be variations, but there are definitely patterns he’s observed. Whenever we have law, there’s going to be judgment. Because if there are laws, you have to judge. That’s just kind of how it is. Once you have judgment, that leads to comparison … because you’re judging what’s right, and you’re judging what’s wrong. Comparison is what we do in this society and culture. We also do this internally with our own behavior. Comparison always leads to punishment. And punishment always leads to isolation. When isolation happens, it kicks you into a level of insecurity because you don't have the relationship anymore. Then, you don't have the connections and there's separation … and then insecurity. That leads to hopelessness and a sense of powerlessness. You might feel like nothing can be done. Powerlessness leads to victimhood, and then once you’re a victim and you’re in that mindset, victimhood leads to hatred. Once you have hatred, that leads to vengeance. And vengeance leads to lawlessness. You might even feel as if it’s justified. You might think, “What I’m doing now is justified, because of what was done to me.” And then, since this is a vicious cycle, all that just leads right back to the law. The cycles repeat over and over again. We have all these different cycles in society, and we have them in our own lives. These cycles happen because of trauma … and these cycles can become like this big, weighted train that runs through our lives, and that train is headed for a cliff. These cycles are just heading us toward running over a cliff and falling off … And it's going to happen when you have those cycles. It might not be some huge, entire-life destruction, but there will be destruction. Those cycles always bring destruction. It could be relational, or it could ruin your career. Ray said that he’s seen this with people in ministry and he’s seen it all over the place. It affects careers, relationships, ministry, health—all kinds of things—to the point where it can even take you to actual death. Whether it's extreme loss and trauma or a minor one, those cycles are going to lead to a traumatic problem … because they are traumatic in themselves. When we’re living this way (trying to manage the cycles of being under the law and behaving properly) we are guaranteed to go into a lifestyle of fear, shame and guilt. Ray mentioned the Garden of Eden and when Adam and Eve believed the lie, they manifested that lie into sinful behavior … It’s sinfulness that’s not productive or healthy. It’s not glorifying God, you or anything else. Those behaviors are manifesting from unbelief. Ray said that if we don’t get to the [underlying] belief, we are never going to be able to deal with our behaviors. When Adam and Eve sinned, they also started protecting themselves in fear, shame and guilt. Whenever there’s a lie that we're believing, we are hiding in fear. We're covering ourselves in shame and we're gonna blame somebody for it—in guilt—whether we're blaming ourselves, others or God. There's going to be fear, shame and guilt when you have unbelief. This is guaranteed. Ray said he’s seen these patterns thousands of times, and everyone’s patterns are a little different. He said that he has his patterns, and we all have ours. Everyone has patterns. Next, Ray focused on talking about the two kingdoms. We can think about this like going back to the Garden of Eden … The Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. That’s the beautiful one. And then there is the kingdom of this world … The kingdom of this world is guilt, fear and shame, all in our own effort. We manifest what happened to us as children when we were abused—things and programming happened. As an adult, those emotions you’re experiencing … you’re manifesting them. Other people cannot manifest fear, shame and guilt in you, only you can. People can do inappropriate things, or you could just perceive it wrong from the trauma you’ve had in your life … Those belief systems—that unresolved trauma—affects how you perceive your life. The fear, shame and guilt that we're manifesting is destroying our lives. The root lies in the belief system of that—is that we’re under the law. Ray said that there are millions of lies in each one of the categories of fear, shame and guilt. Getting to the core themes of what those lies really are … When you’re dealing with shame, you’re going to feel like you’re not good enough (or as good as someone else) and you might feel as if there’s something wrong with you. You feel as if you have no authority and you’re powerless. The core theme of guilt is that something is your fault, God’s fault or some else’s fault. This is one of the ways that the enemy tries to destroy us. He’s trying to steal, kill or destroy … He’s trying to steal your identity, kill your authority and destroy your community. He can do that by getting you to believe that you’re not good enough … that there’s nothing you can do about it, and it’s all your fault. That’s his agenda. The enemy wants you to believe that you’re still under the law and not under grace. And when you’re stuck under the law, you become a “right-and-wrong robot.” You stop discerning truth and hearing from God and you just follow the set of codes and rules, and you constantly have to decide if something is right or wrong. Ray said that it is so painful to see people stuck in this cycle. He can get that way, he has friends who are that way and he’s seen ministries run that way. This destroys your ability to discern and hear from the Lord, especially when we believe these lies about ourselves. If we believe these things, we don’t feel as if we can trust ourselves. People have the “right-or-wrong robot” kind of mentality where they’re no longer living in the spirit and getting revelation from God. And they’re actually living in the flesh by those set of rules and trying to manage those rules … and it's miserable! This cycle causes people to go off the cliff or shipwreck their faith. There’s always fear, shame, guilt and judgment, and then the cycle starts again. This is never fun! It’s always painful, and Ray sees it a lot! The lie that we’re still under the law tries to get us to perform and do the right thing. But to do the right thing, you’ve got to judge what's right and wrong instead of actually just discerning what God is telling you … and living out of the truth of who you are. Next, Ray wanted to look at how to be healed of these things. It’s simple, but sometimes not easy because of the world’s systems and culture, and the religious, legalistic system that’s been going on for years. Every culture is different as well as every society … These things are also working against us. To be free of this, Ray pointed out Mark 1:15: The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe in the gospel. The Kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe the gospel! Ray said it is literally that simple—and this can change your life. This is not a “Hakuna Matata” kind of a thing, like “everything is just going to be alright.” Because Ray mentioned that Jesus perfectly believed the gospel and look what happened to him… But Ray said that you can have peace inside of you no matter what’s going on “out there.” Ray said he doesn’t always have it … and he’s not in a lofty position telling us that if you try really hard, you can be like him—that’s not what he was saying—he’s struggling through all this, the same as us. It doesn’t matter if someone is a famous leader or someone you respect, it doesn’t matter what stream of ministry someone is in, or what movement … We’re all dealing with junk! We’re all dealing with sinful patterns, behaviors and unbelief at some level. But this is the key—repent and believe the gospel. InLight Connection thanks Ray for sharing his heart with us. P.S.
