The daily living of the Cretans needed transformation (Titus 1:12). So does ours (3:3). The repeated words in the short letter to Titus reveal HOW: “Savior,” “Doctrine/Teaching” (3x), “Work(s)/good works” (8x). The truths about our Savior transform our LIVING. Deeds display doctrine. Belief is the basis of Behavior. Faith produces works (Eph. 2:10). Grace inspires godliness… Chapter 2 called all ages groups to Gospel-transformed living (2:1, 2:10).
