There Are No Bench Warmers in the Kingdom of God

Mack Tomlinson

Sports teams have those who are starters and those who sit on the bench. In the kingdom of God, in the church, there is no one who sits on the bench. Everyone is a starter, everyone is a worker, and everyone is important.

God Does Not Bring Our Sins Back

Geoff Thomas

Every person needs a covering for their sin. The only covering available for sinners is the obedience of Jesus Christ. And once God has put away our sins, He won't bring them back to haunt or torment us. Glorious reality and freedom.

Do You Show Respect of Persons in the Church?

Mack Tomlinson

One of the subtle ways we sin is by showing respect of persons in the church. Do you treat the well known and gifted people in the church the same way as the struggling and unknown ones in the church?

Sorrow Turned Into Joy

Jesse Barrington

Jesus taught and promised amazing things to His disciples the night before He died. One of these amazing promises is that they would have fullness of joy that no one would be able to take away. He promised joy that would remain with them even in the midst of suffering.

Is Jesus Christ the Source of Your Joy?

Jesse Barrington

Christian, do you believe you can have true joy from Jesus Christ even in the worst of circumstances? Or do you believe you can only have joy at the removal of difficult circumstances?

The Sufferings of the Cross

Geoff Thomas • Isaiah 53

One of the major ways Christ became like us was that He was able to suffer in the same ways we do. When He went to the cross, He suffered as a man in every way imaginable. And the worst part of this, of course, was His spiritual suffering from bearing our sin and being forsaken by God.

The Commonplace Christian is the Glory of the Church

Mack Tomlinson

Most of us will be not be remembered after we die. We'll be forgotten by the world and only a fading memory to those who knew us. But we can't let this cause us to think that we're not needed in Christ's Church. Almost all of the advancement of His kingdom has been done by little, unknown Christians.

Doing Greater Works Than Christ

Tim Conway

Jesus said that we would do the same works that He did and even greater works. This is a glorious promise and it’s given to every believer. But we must ask the question: what does this promise mean? John 14:12 - Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.

Recommendation for Conrad Murrell's Biography

"I will never forget the first time I met him, and his steely eyes and inviting smile. Though my exposure to Conrad Murrell came later in his ministry, I was immediately drawn to the man. But more importantly, getting to know Conrad caused me to know Jesus Christ in a deeper way. I spent an extended time with Conrad several years ago, and he became a spiritual father to me that I never had. I refer to him as the "old prophet." His knowledge of the holy extends beyond theological accuracy to the knowledge of the Holy One Himself. This is how you feel when you are with Conrad, an awareness of the presence of God. This book will give you insight as to why knowing Conrad Murrell is to know our Lord better. I am thankful this book has been written to bring us a glimpse of that experience." - Michael Durham (from book cover)
