Paul's Shipwreck

August 18, 2019 • Peter Mueller

Even when our lives are a shipwreck, God can make a way for His purposes to be fulfilled. Paul was called to preach to the Gentiles - as he on a journey to do so by sea, his ship was wrecked. Even in that, God made a a way for him to be imprisoned in the capital city of the Roman Empire - but even there, he was allowed to preach the good news of Jesus to anyone who would come and visit him. In the same way, God works even in the most disastrous moments of our lives. There is hope!

August 25, 2019 • Peter Mueller

Sometimes God calls us to do things that might involve great risk and great sacrifice. Others around us might think we are crazy or irresponsible or that it can’t be God leading us. And yet, Paul knew that He followed a crucified Messiah and was willing to suffer as he worked to make the name of Jesus known. While there are many blessings for those who follow Christ, we are also called to risk and even suffer as we follow Jesus and make His name known.
