Several chapters in Exodus, including Exodus Chapter 10, outline the various judgments that the Lord sent on the land of Egypt in an attempt to make Pharaoh free the Hebrew slaves. In Exodus Chapter 10, God sent two more judgments – the locusts and the darkness.

However, even though the bush was on fire, it was not consumed. God told Moses to remove his shoes as he was standing on holy land.
