The Gift of Flexibility

July 4, 2021 • Pastor Michael Johnson

In order to be able to adjust in life you often need to consider that you must be willing to be flexible to function in seasons that require your adaptation.

Your bending will not break you, your bending is only meant to re-shape you.

Key Scripture: Mark 1:16-18(ESV)

16 Passing alongside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.

17 And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”[a] 18 And immediately they left their nets and followed him.

Not only is there a natural ability to adapt to the changing seasons but there is also the gift of flexibility the Lord has graced you with to help you to bend without breaking.

Point #1
Vs. 16 Flexibility requires your willingness to untether yourself from your current state of spiritual immobility.

Point #2
Flexibility includes an element of formation and evolution.

Point #3
Flexibility includes an element of commonality.

Our hope is that this word helps you to become the flexible disciple God has called you to be.
