Why do you respond the way you do? Are you open to receiving honest feedback? Do you smack down compliments? Look at your negative self talk as a big pothole in the street. Self awareness is no the same as being self absorbed. Be gracious to yourself and others by accepting a compliment. For a Christian to have negative self talk is not in alignment with your Christian beliefs.
