Lottie Moon Christmas Offering

On December 22 we will be taking up the annual Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. 100% of the money raised will go to fund our missionaries on the field. Please be praying about what you and your family can give.

What is the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering?

Lottie Moon was sent as a Southern Baptist missionary to China from 1873 to 1912. She saw firsthand the world’s greatest problem — LOSTNESS. Meeting so many people who had never heard the gospel compelled her to write letters to American churches describing the need for a greater missionary presence. She pleaded for increased prayer and financial support to send and sustain more missionaries. This challenge became known as the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering®.

On December 14th, 6pm-8pm, our church will be hosting the Holiday Express at Creekmore Park. This is an event that brings out hundreds of people to ride the Christmas train and see all of the beautiful lights. We will be out there passing out free hot chocolate and candy canes, plus giving all of the budding superstars a chance at Christmas karaoke! This is a LOT of fun, and we want to invite everyone to come out and enjoy this wonderful evening. We are also looking for volunteers to help.

The annual Fort Smith Synthetic Ice Skating Rink will be open again this year beginning December 5 at Hunt's Park across from Creekmore. Go to the website (http://www.fortsmithiceskating.com) to find all of the open dates and hours. Also, if your business or family would like to rent the rink for a private party, those details are on the website as well. We are also needing volunteers to help run the rink. Click on the sign up sheet to find out more information and to get signed up for as many time slots as you would like. One change that we are making this year is that if you are under 18 years old, you must sign up and volunteer with an adult.
