Soil is not just soil. Soil is as alive as your plants, bustling and thriving with organic life. It’s rich in organic matter to support life in the soil, so all your plants flourish. Soil provides plants a foothold for their roots and holds the necessary nutrients for plants to grow. In our spiritual lives, our hearts are to our lives like the soil is to the plant. God desires for our lives to be as nutrient and beneficial as possible so that we our lives can flourish and grow.
