JUMP bumper

October 28, 2018

An African Impala can jump over 10 feet high, and a distance of over 30 feet. But these amazing creatures can be kept safe in a zoo with a 3 foot high fence, because an Impala won't jump when they can't see the landing! Most of us value comfort, control, and self preservation. But God often calls us into the unknown. Sometimes our feet feel stuck on the ground when God asks us to take a leap of faith...to jump.

It starts when we're kids, and somebody asks us: what do YOU want to be when you grow up, or what do YOU want for Christmas, or where have YOU always wanted to travel. Why don't we ask: WHOSE life do you hope to impact, or how do you give yourself away for ANOTHER person, or WHO are you sharing Christ with? Only when we stop thinking primarily about ourselves will we be receptive to the privilege of sharing with others.
