To love neighbor as ourselves is to embrace neighbors, strangers, friends and enemies…every soul God has made. To truly love all people as God loves us is to see every soul as worthy of love. How is it that many of us struggle to truly see the very image of God in another person?

There are many moments in our lives where we experience the joy of giving to someone or something - Christmas or birthday presents, humanitarian efforts, or thanking a friend with a gift card or picking up the lunch tab. Giving is important, because it reminds us of the importance of others, and that joy is meant to be shared, not kept to ourselves. What could we do for God’s kingdom if we all gave with joy?
