Why Am I So Stressed?

September 29, 2024 • Pastor Paul Vaughan • John 16:33, Exodus 20:8–10, Psalm 23:2, 2 Peter 1:10, Galatians 6:2

This week we will continue with our sermon series titled "Asking For A Friend." Throughout this series, we will tackle several questions that many of us may have but are hesitant or fearful to ask.

The topic for this week's message and the "Asking For A Friend" question is: "Why Am I So Stressed?" In our fast-paced world, this question is especially relevant to us today. Let's be clear: stress itself isn't the problem - it's how we manage it. Some may think that following Jesus guarantees a life free of challenges, but we know life has its highs and lows. What we truly seek isn't a life without stress, but a life filled with true peace.

This week, we'll explore four key reasons why stress might feel like your (or your friend's) constant companion, and we'll share ways to break its hold so that we can experience lasting peace, no matter what life throws at us.

Scripture: John 16:33, Exodus 20:8-10, Psalm 23:2, 2 Peter 1:10, Galatians 6:2, Hebrew 13:6
