Craving Recognition (Meyer)

March 8, 2020 • Pastor Joe Meyer

Sadly, our society has a propensity for “Craving Recognition” if not outright grabbing at recognition. We want to be noticed; we want to receive accolades; we want people to pay attention to us! But what the Lord has for us is “Always Better” and what the Lord has for us in this arena is honoring, praising, and glorifying Him and His holy name and not our own. Today we remember that pointing to Jesus instead of ourselves is “Always Better” and always will be!

Who Do You Work For? (Johnson)

March 29, 2020 • Pastor Ben Johnson

We know that we all have to earn a living. You have to make ends meet. You must work or have an income that follows you into retirement. But the question is a good one, namely, “Who do you work for?” Our Gospel reading today reminds us that whatever we do for a living, like the first Apostles, in this Gospel, like Matthew (Levi) we are employed by the Lord Jesus in His work! And all of us would agree, working for Jesus is “Always Better” no matter what we do! Amen? Amen.
