Solidarity with Israel

May 19, 2024 • Derek Gilbert

IT’S BIZARRE that world opinion has swung against Israel in its ongoing war in Gaza.

Less than eight months ago, a murderous death cult swarmed out of Gaza, murdering more than 1,200 and abducting another 200. Yet the tone of media coverage could lead one to conclude that Israel was the aggressor in this conflict. The longer Hamas delays the release of the remaining 130 or so hostages, its only leverage over Israel, the greater the pressure applied to Israel by the rest of the world including its primary military supporter, the United States.

Last week, we traveled to Israel with a small group from the US, UK, and New Zealand to see things for ourselves, without the corporate media filter. We visited communities in the Negev that border Gaza: Sderot, where the police station was besieged and overrun; Ofakim, where a quick-thinking Jewish grandmother stalled terrorists with her cooking until her police officer son could round up counterterror forces; and Re’im, site of the Nova Music Festival, where 364 Israelis died that morning—the single deadliest terror event in Israel’s modern history.

Thanks to Mike Kerr and Jeannie Moore of Hear the Watchmen (hearthewatchmen.com), we present a one-hour summary of our trip to Israel, including never-before-seen video from ground zero of the Israel-Hamas War.
