Before you begin this Bible study, if you have never believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior, John 3:16 tells us: “ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have eternal life.” Simply, have faith that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and you will have eternal life and be saved. If you have believed in
Jesus Christ as your Savior; then 1 John 1:9 tells us; “If you confess your sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Just privately tell God the Father your sins to be filled with God, the Holy Spirit, and He will teach you Bible truth. “I have set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall serve as a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth.” Genesis 9:13
I wonder why God chose Noah to build the ark out of all of the people that were living on earth. Noah wasn’t picked because he was smart or perfect or never did bad things.
God selected Noah because he knew that Jesus would die on the cross to pay for his sins, and he loved learning God’s Word more than anything else in the world.
God doesn’t think like people do. God knows how we think on
the inside and He knows what is best for us (omniscience).
Noah was also humble, which meant that he knew a big secret that most people didn’t understand. He knew that he should obey God instead of doing things his own way. Our Heavily Father knows what is best for us way better than we do.
Genesis 7:6-8:22-Period of Time-Age of the Gentiles
After Noah and his family and the animals entered the ark, God closed the door. It started raining and the waters under the earth started coming up. It rained and water rose for 40 days and nights. The ark floated and swayed through the water without even tipping over.
God never forgot about Noah during that time.
After the rain stopped, Noah and his family still
couldn’t leave the ark because the water was so high that it covered every bit of grass, the treetops, and even the mountains. Noah had no idea where he was, but God did; He knew everything (Omniscience).
Can you imagine what it would be like to travel for 40 days and nights and feel the waves tossing you around, but not knowing where you were going? I’ll bet Noah and his family missed seeing the sunshine and the blue skies.
I wonder if the animals missed dry land. Did the sheep miss grazing in the pasture? Did the robins dream about hunting for worms in the grass? Did the hyenas laughter, drive everyone around them crazy?
Can you imagine Noah going up and down ladders to each floor of the
ark when he was over 600 years old? What did they eat? I can tell you right now that I doubt if it was hot dogs, cotton candy, or jelly beans.
We do know that Noah was patient, and he and his family waited inside the ark while it floated around and around for 150 days. One day, God sent lots and lots of wind, and the water started drying up. By this time, they had all been on the ark for 6 long months.
Finally, one day, the ark finally came to a stop and rested upon the mountains of Ararat. Did they get off the ark yet? No, they waited and waited some more, and after 40 days, the mountain tops started showing.
Noah sent out a raven 40 days later, and it flew around. Next, he sent out a dove, but he didn’t find a resting place, so it came back to the ark, because lots of water still covered the trees and the ground.
Another week went by, and Noah sent the dove out again. You will never guess what happened! The dove came back in the evening with a fresh olive leaf in her beak. Wow! That meant the water was below the tree tops! Noah sent the dove out once more, and it never came back.
Noah and his family ended up being on that ark for a little over a year before they were finally able to get off. He removed the cover, and God told them to scatter everywhere and fill up the whole earth with people again.
The first thing Noah did when he got off the ark was to sacrifice some of each kind of clean animal to God and thanked Him for keeping them all safe. God placed a rainbow in the sky as His promise never to destroy the earth again by a flood. God always keeps His promises.

Jr. Tree of Life The Filling of the Holy Spirit Jesus Feeds 4,000 Part 2 Before you begin this Bible study, If you have never believed in Jesus Christ as your Savior, John 3:16 tells us: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have eternal life.” Simply have faith that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and you will have eternal life and be saved. Promise Memory Verse “And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit.” Ephesians 5:18 Mark 8:1-10- Period of Time-Hypostatic Union Jesus, who is the Son of God, always did things while filled with God, the Holy Spirit’s power, when He lived during the Hypostatic Union. Last week, we saw that our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, fed over 5,000 men, plus women and children with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. On a different day, a group of 4,000 hungry people were gathered around Jesus for about 3 days straight. There weren’t any grocery stores nearby. So, what do you think Jesus did? Did He make a phone call and order tacos? Did He send His disciples to pick up hamburgers, and fries for everyone? He didn’t do any of this. Instead, He was given 7 loaves of bread, and a few fish. Jesus, who was filled with God, the Holy Spirit, performed a miracle. He was able to turn the loaves and fish into enough food to fill everyone up. There were even 7 baskets of food left over! In this case, the people were filled with food for their hungry bodies, and their souls were filled with, Bible Doctrine. Our souls get hungry in a different way than our bodies do. They need lots of Bible Doctrine to feed them. Our souls are happy when they are filled with God, the Holy Spirit. Spirit. When we sin, our souls are miserable. When we make mistakes, we just need to rebound and tell God the Father, privately inside our minds whatever we have done wrong. When we do this, we are automatically filled with God, the Holy When you are filled with God, the Holy Spirit, He teaches you Bible Doctrine. Then your soul is like a refrigerator that is plugged in. Everything inside is fresh and delicious. When you are not filled with God, the Holy Spirit, your soul is like a refrigerator that isn’t plugged-in. When you peek inside of it, the strawberries are moldy, the milk is spoiled and the hamburger smells like stinky kitty litter. Jesus was always filled with God, the Holy Spirit, when He lived during the Hypostatic Union. He never lost the filling of the Holy Spirit, because He never sinned. Today in the Church Age, our souls need to be like a plugged in refrigerator that is full of fresh, tasty food. So, remember, when you make a mistake, you need to tell God the Father what you did wrong, so your soul will be filled with God, the Holy Spirit.
