How do we live out what Paul has taught us about the Christian life? How do we make his theology concrete and active? Today Paul shows us that love, agape love, the love of God, is a necessity for living our lives this way. He will show us this in our relationships, including relationships with enemies, to enable each one of us to live in God-honoring ways that bring us God’s best for our lives.

Paul has spent the first eleven chapters laying out his understanding of the Good News, and now, in the remaining chapters, he turns to urging his readers to now put into practice what he’s explained. Today’s passage and message set up this significant turn and then point to the first way he’s calling us to live out this Good News – as servants in the body of Christ, the Church!
