The fourth spiritual practice we’re looking at to help us eliminate hurry in our lives is simply slowing down. It sounds simple but something inside us just seems to keep revving us up to hurry along. And yet, the Bible often tells us to wait for the Lord. Perhaps, choosing to slow down offers tangible changes to the totality of our lives so we can live each moment to its fullest!

Life seems to have only two speeds – really fast, and too fast to run. And yet, it’s this life we have to live. Why is life so rushed, so hurried? Perhaps we’ve chosen the wrong path to walk. Maybe we’ve even pledged our life to Jesus, but we’re not sure we always want to follow him everywhere he leads us. And maybe that’s the problem – wanting the life of Jesus, but failing to live his lifestyle.
