At the Movies - Part 3

July 17, 2022 • Roland Salinas • Galatians 5:22–26, Galatians 6:1–6

Have you ever said, “I am the center of the universe”? Or “this is my world and everyone else is living in it”? Probably not. Sometime our actions paint a picture of a way of life we never intended to lead. This Sunday we are talking about the one thing every human does but doesn’t want to admit.

At the Movies - Part 2

July 10, 2022 • Randy Hageman • Romans 8:28, Genesis 50:20, Deuteronomy 31:8

Join us as we look at 3 different movies, & experience the power of compelling storytelling. Be inspired, moved, & have fun as we shed light on the human condition & what God might have to say about it. This is a great teaching series to invite a friend to at Gateway! Many folks dread any struggles or adversity in their lives. It even causes some to question if there really is a God. And yet, is it possible that God often uses the struggles in our lives to accomplish things that would never otherwise happen? Is it possible that God uses adversity to grow us and strengthen for even bigger things in this life and beyond? Is it possible that we’ve been looking at hardships the wrong way? Today’s movie may just challenge what we’ve often believed about struggles and adversity.

At the Movies - Part 1

July 3, 2022 • Randy Hageman • Genesis 6:9–16, Hebrews 11:1, 2 Corinthians 5:7, Genesis 6:17–22

Join us as we look at 3 different movies, & experience the power of compelling storytelling. Be inspired, moved, & have fun as we shed light on the human condition & what God might have to say about it. This is a great teaching series to invite a friend to at Gateway! Many folks think living by faith means acknowledging belief in God, but as we see in the life of Noah and in the movie Field of Dreams, faith is actually much, much more. It’s choosing to act, regardless of what others think, regardless of what roadblocks come before us, regardless of how we’re feeling in any given moment. And yet, it is precisely this kind of faith that God calls us to, enables, and works through.
