There’s a great deal of confusion around sexuality today. And while different people appeal to different sources, for the Christian, our source is what God says in the Bible. So, what does God say? What is His design and intention for human sexuality today? Is it as simple as what I want, or does God have an even picture in mind? We’ll explore this and more in today’s message.

There’s a great deal of confusion today around gender and sexuality. Words like transgender, nonbinary, and gender fluid are thrown around easily, but not everyone understands them, and even fewer seem to understand their implications. Once again, followers of Jesus need to ask what God tells us about gender and sexuality so we can represent Christ today in a world filled with confusion.

But for those who choose to follow Jesus, we need to ask what does God say, especially as revealed in the Bible, because that is our guide for faith and practice. At the same time, we can never forget Jesus’ command to love our neighbors. So, today we’ll explore how to balance God’s Word with love.

God created each of us in His own image, and His design was perfect. Unfortunately, sin entered the picture and turned us away from God to our own desires and wants. The result has affected every area of our lives, but nowhere has sin’s damage been more obvious than in the area of human sexuality. Today we’ll look at sin’s destructive nature that distorts and confuses God’s good gift of sexuality.
