Give

God’s forgiveness of our sin is both a privilege and a responsibility: A privilege because we are forgiven on the basis of Jesus Christ suffering and dying in our place. A responsibility in that we are commanded to forgive others as we are forgiven by God. As difficult as it may to grasp these spiritual concepts, when we understand and apply the flow of forgiveness, we are set free in ways that we may have never experienced before!

How do we find our way forward in life to experience the freedom God desires for each one of us? God offers us a way forward, but we may find God’s “map” isn’t as helpful as we expected. Why is that? Because a map does us little good unless we realize our starting point on the map – where am I? And the Bible calls this confession. Today we’ll see how valuable and important confession is for the journey to freedom!
