The temptation to sin is all around us and universal. The issue is not if we will be tempted, but will we, with God’s help, overcome the temptations. Our problem with temptations is that some of them are appealing, until we recognize sin for what it is and where it ultimately leads – Hell. It’s easy to dismiss sin and Hell, but as we’ll see today, we do so at our own risk!

There are so many distractions in this life that can point us away from Christ and his Kingdom. One of the biggest – though certainly not the only one – is wealth. Satan loves to use it to distract us so that we think we’ve got life under control. But, as we’ll see today, Jesus challenges that notion and calls his followers to a radical reassessment of our priorities for living our lives.
