Throughout the Bible we see God using signs to tell us more about Himself and His purposes. When we come to the Gospels, Jesus himself offers many signs and might just be a sign himself. Why did God use these signs, and are they still of any value to us today? We’ll explore signs and see where they lead us!

One of the most important signs in the Bible is the experience the disciples Peter, James and John had, which has been called the Transfiguration. Even though Jesus had been trying to help his disciples understand what Messiah fully meant, their Jewish life history made it hard for them to see all Jesus wanted them to know. So, through the sign of the Transfiguration and Jesus’ time with his disciples, he helps them and us gain a clearer – and important – picture of what Messiah really means, then and today!
