In Awe of Me or God?

As human beings, we have a tendency to create gods in our lives, and we see this going all the way back to Adam and Eve. But the problem is that God didn’t create us or anything else to be a god, and living that way ultimately leads to a more and more unfulfilling life. So, what is the answer? Today we’ll explore why choosing the right God and genuinely recognizing His greatness is fundamental to what it means for us to be human beings.

In Romans 8, Paul expressed wonder and joy that nothing can separate us from the love of God revealed in Christ Jesus. But there’s a problem – if God’s love, offered to us through the Jewish Messiah Jesus is so amazing, why are the Jews rejecting Jesus? And why is it still happening today with all kinds of people, who take life for granted and don’t recognize the consequences of their choices until they’ve suffered for them? Romans 9 helps us begin to explore this.
