Throughout all four gospels, we see the crowds, the religious leaders, even his disciples, trying to figure out who Jesus is, and the Gospel of Mark is no exception. By the end of each gospel, the message has become clear, but Mark wants us, the readers, to know from the very beginning, because it will change how we see everything in his gospel: Jesus is God!

We see Jesus performing many miracles, including healing. But when we look around us today, we don’t see as many people miraculously healed. Why is this case? Is it possible we haven’t fully understood God’s purpose in performing miracles? Is it possible that healings serve an even bigger purpose? We’ll explore these thoughts and more today!
