Sometimes in life we like to try and control everything around us. Our kids, jobs, traffic and even other people. What if we tried to control ourselves? What could God do with that?
What Control Costs Us

When we’re controlling, there’s a cost to us and others around us, whether we realize it or not. And that cost is probably higher than we realize. That’s why today we’re going to walk through some of the costs of control in order to recognize how many areas of our lives are being affected. It just might surprise you and challenge you to reexamine how you live your life.

Last week we looked at WHY we seek to exercise control over our lives and others. Today we’ll explore HOW we actually exercise that control. We’ll look at several specific ways, recognizing that there are certainly more. And yet, for each method of control, we’ll also strive to understand the problems with these methods and how we can guard against them in our daily lives.
