Relative Truth

May 12, 2024 • Susan Hageman • 2 Timothy 3:12—4:5, Romans 1:18–22, Romans 1:25, Mark 9:42, 2 Timothy 4:6–8

On Mother’s Day, we celebrate and encourage mothers! Your role is rewarding AND tough!!  At the same time, our hearts go out to everyone experiencing longing about their mothers or children.

We also recognize the vital role both mothers and the entire Christian community play in guiding the next generation through the maze of lies in our world, to Christ. May God find us faithful as we share His truth in love!

“Only God Himself fully appreciates the influence of Christian mother in the molding of character in her children.” – Billy Graham

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in truth.  – 3 John 1:4

In Romans 8, Paul expressed wonder and joy that nothing can separate us from the love of God revealed in Christ Jesus. But there’s a problem – if God’s love, offered to us through the Jewish Messiah Jesus is so amazing, why are the Jews rejecting Jesus? And why is it still happening today with all kinds of people, who take life for granted and don’t recognize the consequences of their choices until they’ve suffered for them? Romans 9 helps us begin to explore this.
