We give thanks for those who have died in the faith of Christ,
For the memory of their words, deeds, and accomplishments,
For the joyful hope of reunion in the life to come, and communion with them now,
We give thanks and praise to the good Shepherd!

Count It All Joy! - Modern
November 13, 2022 • Rev. Brian Sixbey • James 1:1–5
Lord of all power, we confess to feeling powerless at times. We feel powerless when things change quickly and we don’t know why or what it means. We feel powerless to make the world safer, to bring hope and healing, and to bridge the divides between people that lead to misery. And yet, the One whose power created all things is the same One who gives us the Holy Spirit to run the race of life with perseverance. May we count it all joy, because we know we are not abandoned, forgotten, or without power, because we know and are loved by You, Jesus, who gives us power to do what is needed today. Amen
