Psalm 22 gives a brutal assessment of reality combined with an unwavering hope in God's power to restore, redeem, and renew. Jesus quotes this Psalm at the crucifixion and it is planted like a signpost in the middle of the Old Testament. It points to the One who was, who is, and is to come.
