Cultivating a Christian Character

Scripture is clear: we become members of God's family by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. However, our faith needs to become stronger and stronger as we live the Christian life. That's why Peter encourages us in this passage to "supplement our faith" with seven qualities to grow in our relationship with God and others.

Get Your Feet Wet

Before God performed the miracle of parting the waters of the Jordan River, the priests carrying the Ark of the Covenant had to step into the water. That showed their faith in God.
