ABOUT THE MESSAGE: Making the wrong choices can often end up bringing misery to one's life. How can we make sure the choices we make will be the right ones?
Here are some main points:
1) Is it in harmony with God’s word?
2) Would I want everyone to know about the decision I make?
3) What are the real consequences of the choice I am about to make?
4) Will my choice make me a better Christian?
5) Could this decision begin to control or dominate my life?
6) Will my decision harm other people?
7) Is the decision the best use of my life or time?

08.06.23 - When Life Doesn’t Turn Out the Way You Thought It Would
August 6, 2023 • Harlan Haines • Habakkuk 2:1
Why doesn’t life turn out the way we thought it would?
Sometimes it’s because of the decisions or sins in our lives….the times that we have not followed the will of God. The consequences of those decisions or sins should spur us to want to now be in the will of God.
Other times it is because of the decisions or sins of others. The decisions or sins of others alway affect more than the one who does them. Sometimes we are caught up in the decisions of others not to follow the will of God. Those decisions or sins of others should cause us to desire to make the right choices in our lives so that we don’t affect others they way others have affected us.
So what do we do when life doesn’t turn out the way we thought it should? We are to do what Habakkuk did. We are to watch earnestly expecting God to show up with the help to get us through where we find ourselves in life, because He will and we don’t want to miss Him.

07.23.23 - Facing Stress Like Jesus Did
July 23, 2023 • Harlan Haines • Luke 22:39–46
Today's Message is titled: "Facing Stress Like Jesus Did"
We often forget that Jesus knows what it is like to be in great anguish.
We often forget that Jesus knows what it is like to pray for a certain answer and instead of yes, the answer is no.
We often forget that Jesus knows what we are going through when we go through times of great stress and troubles.
He knows, because He’s been there.
And by Him having gone through it he shows us how we also need to go through the times of anguish and stress and the no’s of prayer that come our way.
One of the lessons of Jesus praying on the Mount of Olives before His crucifixion is about dealing with times of great trouble and stress.
Through the prayer of Jesus, we find an example of what believer’s should do in times of trouble and stress and when God answers “no" to our prayers.
