I hope that not too many of us are out walking on train tracks. Not only is it dangerous, but it is normally illegal. Even still, can you imagine in your mind a dark train tunnel going through a large mountain? If you entered it, the last thing you would want to see is a bright light coming towards you! Here is a secret though: not all lights are trains! Sometimes the darkness of this world can be scary, but there is a LIGHT at the end of the tunnel that we want to see; His Name is Jesus! What are you looking forward to? A train or the SON?

Vacation Bible School is this week. The days will be long, the schedule will be crazy, but the results will be out of this world!!! Statistically, God saves more people during VBS than any other week of church services. I am hopeful! I am excited! I am also wanting to make it to the end of the week with enough energy to do right by my Lord. Fortunately, we can make it! No matter what this week holds, God has a plan to keep us strong in Him! Let’s stay the course!

During the last few weeks, we have spoken of the insignificance of the sufferings found in this world compared to the glory which will be revealed to us. Does that mean that there isn’t a concern to be found? Does it mean that we just need to be persecuted to go to Heaven (see verse 17)? Or is Paul establishing our need for the gospel to be centered solely upon Jesus? If God’s provision is in Jesus, then our sufferings, our fears, and even our sanctification is all secondary to HIS Work in salvation. We are either saved by grace or by works…thank God—it really is all about Him! Last week and today, we shall find out that it has always been about Him. Fear not! The Lord has provided!
