1) Be generous even in difficulty.

2) Be generous according to your means.
v.3 “For they gave according to their means”
“and beyond their means”
3) Be generous with great desire and eagerness.
v.4 “begging us earnestly for the favor of taking part in the relief of the saints”
4) Be generous as an offering to God.
v.5 “they gave themselves first to the Lord”
5) Be generous for the benefit of others.
v.5 “and then by the will of God to us.”
