This Sunday, Rick Dunn finishes our series in Exodus. He looks at the life of Moses and how God not only got him out of Egypt, but also how He removed Egypt from Moses' heart. It is in the moments that we feel the most distance, distrust, and discomfort that are our greatest opportunities to be drawn closer to the heart of the Father.
Silent Obedience in the Face of Fear
August 20, 2023 • JC Neely • Exodus 14
This Sunday, JC Neely continues our series in Exodus. Looking at the journey in the wilderness of the Israelites, we are reminded that we need to remember God's faithfulness in the past so we can trust Him with our future. There are five things to focus on to remember: what we know, no matter our circumstances; Who, not what; faith, not fear; when to move; small, unseen acts of faith.
The Lord of Mercy
August 6, 2023 • Greg Pinkner • Exodus 4:21–23
This Sunday, Gospel Sunday, begins our series in Exodus. One of Christianity's central truths is that the universe exists to put the glory of God on display. The Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart to bring Himself glory. Because we are made to bring him glory, He has the right to harden us or to give us mercy. Greg looked at the stories of Moses and Isaiah to show that seeing God shows us how sinful we are. He has given mercy to those who have seen him, and we know we have seen him through our acceptance of the Gospel. The Gospel is the grace He has shown the world.
