This Sunday, Gospel Sunday, begins our series in Exodus. One of Christianity's central truths is that the universe exists to put the glory of God on display. The Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart to bring Himself glory. Because we are made to bring him glory, He has the right to harden us or to give us mercy. Greg looked at the stories of Moses and Isaiah to show that seeing God shows us how sinful we are. He has given mercy to those who have seen him, and we know we have seen him through our acceptance of the Gospel. The Gospel is the grace He has shown the world.
