Throughout the month of August, the teaching team will look at the things that are most important to us at Fellowship. This week, Greg Pinkner teaches from 2 Timothy on the essential nature of Scripture. In today's culture, through the deconstruction of Christianity, we have lost the truth, but there is only one way to know exactly what God says and what He expects, which is through the Bible. Losing the Bible as our cornerstone for truth is the path to unsteadiness in our hearts and minds.

Participating in the Kingdom

June 16, 2024 • RD McClenagan • Acts 2:42–47

This Sunday at Fellowship, RD presented our budget for the upcoming year. We practice this yearly as our budget is member-approved. But we want to take this one step further: it's not just numbers and finances we want to be known by our body; it's part of the invitation into the work of the Kingdom of God. RD opens Acts 2, where we learn about the early church and how they dedicated themselves to the teaching of the apostles and breaking bread together. The scripture gives us an example of what we are invited into when in the church: a community that gathers, grows, and eats together so they can be sent out into the work of the Kingdom.

Like a Watered Garden

In RD McClenagan's first sermon as Lead Pastor of Fellowship, he teaches from Isaiah 58, emphasizing the concept of the church as a "watered garden," representing a thriving, abundant, and interdependent community under God's nourishment. He explores how the church should not be self-serving but should be vibrant and supportive, with members depending on each other to flourish, reflecting God’s unchanging vision and heart as revealed through Isaiah. RD calls us to actively embody the gospel by serving and supporting one another, thereby extending the church’s mission beyond its walls into the broader community, fulfilling the vision of being a dynamic, life-giving "watered garden" in their surroundings.

Well Loved to Love Well

April 7, 2024 • Rick Dunn • Joshua 1:5–6, Psalm 78:18

In Rick Dunn's final sermon as Lead Pastor of Fellowship, he looks at the story of Joshuah and encourages us to look to, run to, and run with God. He speaks of the importance of surrendering and being present with humility and vulnerability, rather than relying on performance or power. Rick reflects on his personal growth, recognizing the shift from a mindset of proving oneself to surrendering to God's grace and love. He encourages us to embrace the unknown journey of faith and trust in God's presence and guidance for the future.
