1. How familiar are you with the concept of God as a divine warrior? Can you think of any other passages that describe God this way? How does this challenge or comfort you? 2. Take some time to rehearse God’s work in your own life. How has he fought for you? What works might you ask him to revive? 3. How is it that Christians can rejoice no matter the circumstances? 4. Write your own version of verses 17-19. “Even though…, yet I will exult in the Lord and rejoice in the God of my salvation.”

Compare Isaiah 11:9 and Habakkuk 2:14. What are the two futures they describe? 4. Are there any injustices you need to repent of? What are they? 5. What about this passage gives you hope?

Faithful Waiting
