The crucifixion was real and so was the Resurrection. Along the path to Pentecost, Jesus shared things with His disciples about the kingdom that we are still talking about today. But, before He could send the Comforter, there was one other thing that He had to do. HE HAD TO LEAVE. The ascension of Jesus to heaven is one of the least appreciated events of His life but was critical for us to have 'heaven on earth.' He had to GO UP, so He could send some things down.
