No, it appears that the Apostle is warning Timothy about things that are present, or await, the church. The good news is that times of peril can turn to profit because “8 For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.” (1 Timothy 4:8 (NKJV) Get out your bible and notebook and get prepared for “Profit in Peril.”

Not Just Any Other Day

Are we serving God or have we allowed other ‘gods’ to creep into our lives? What things captivate so much of our energies that don’t really yield God glorifying results?
