Elevate Your Love Level

January 19, 2020 • Pastor Larry Dugger

Our culture has replaced the word soul with self. We hear things like this all the time, “do what makes YOU happy.” Maybe we should return to a phrase like this, “do what makes God happy.” While on the earth, Jesus was love walking and he never exemplified a life of doing what made him happy. While he loved serving God and sharing the gospel, he probably wouldn’t have chosen death in a life focused on doing what made him happy. How is your love game? For more on Elevating Your Love Level listen to this message from our Elevate series.

In this series we are talking about Elevating and how we elevate in all areas of our life by living in the spirit realm. What does it mean to live in the spirit realm? It means we allow Jesus to live through us. The way we do this is with the help of the Holy Spirit. Jesus needed the help of the Holy Spirit while he was on the earth and so do we. Listen to this week’s message for more on understanding the role of the Holy Spirit in helping us to elevate.

Words by themselves do not have the power to do anything. Often at the beginning of a new year we make resolutions, set goals, seek God for a word. These things are great, but each of them re only words on a page until they are put into action. The word for Family Church in 2020 is elevate. We have to plan, pray and position ourselves to see words come to pass in our lives. For more encouraging tips on how to be in the center of God’s will and elevate in 2020, listen to this week’s message.
