Our culture has replaced the word soul with self. We hear things like this all the time, “do what makes YOU happy.” Maybe we should return to a phrase like this, “do what makes God happy.”
While on the earth, Jesus was love walking and he never exemplified a life of doing what made him happy. While he loved serving God and sharing the gospel, he probably wouldn’t have chosen death in a life focused on doing what made him happy. How is your love game? Relationships can be tricky. We have to listen to the Holy Spirit on which ones to enter and which ones to cut off. Some people are meant to be in our lives only for a season and not a lifetime. If the relationship gets toxic we have to be able to set boundaries and know when to get out. This message gives us descriptions of different kinds of relationships. It is our job to allow the Holy Spirit to reveal to us foolishness, evil, wise and good. As humans we can’t determine that on our own without his help.
