Today is Palm Sunday, the day when we celebrate Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. “Triumphant” is an odd word to describe a guy who would soon be falsely accused, convicted, punished, and executed. Today Pastor John closes out our series on the book of Habakkuk. This book is so relevant, modern, and practical to us today because of Habakkuk’s questions for God: “How long, Lord? Why? When are You going to do something?” As we move to chapter 3, we discover God’s plan for Habakkuk and His people (including us!). Don’t be surprised if you hit a pothole on the way to eventually understanding the journey God is taking you on!

What is wrong with the world we live in? Have you ever asked that question? Ever ask God? Has He given you an answer? How long will God put up with all of this? Why does He let it go on? Some 2600 years ago a prophet by the name of Habakkuk asked similar questions. God's answer (which we don't always like) was, "Wait. . .and live by faith." Last week our focus was on waiting; this week we learn what it means to live by faith.
Why Does God Do Nothing?

You are waiting for your family member to stop talking to people in the Lobby and come join you in church. You are waiting for the video to load in your web browser. We wait all the time. Today we’re kicking off a new message series called Habakkuk:Trusting God in Confusing Times. Would you agree that we live in confusing times? What’s right is often considered wrong; what’s wrong is often portrayed as right. Injustice, infighting, ongoing wars, terrorism, corruption at the highest levels, sexual http://harassment...all have become commonplace. If there is a God, how long will He appear to comfortably sit back and do nothing? How long, Lord? These are the very questions Habakkuk asks of God. Perhaps you do as well!
