Following the opening ceremony for the 2024 Olympics, I received several questions from parents and individuals asking how we talk about transgender issues. 1. Engage with compassion. Someone struggling with gender dysphoria needs our love, they are already hurting enough. 2. Build a relationship with the person so that you are both friends. 3. Share Jesus and the gospel message. Our identity is rooted in what God says about us, not what we feel or believe about ourselves. 4. To parents: We must talk about what is going on in culture with our children. We need to teach them to think critically and Biblically about cultural issues.

Stop believing in a god that does not exist

Stop believing in a God who protects us from bad things and promises us prosperity. One of the most dangerous enemies of the church is not outside the community but inside. Bad theology can destroy the church and cause individuals to forsake their faith in God. We all need to stop believing in made-up theology. In the Bible, God does not promise to protect us from harm; rather, he promises to be with us and guide us through "the valley of the shadow of death.
