Reflection Questions
1. Read through Matthew 1:18-25 and reflect on what it shows us about who Jesus is. Which of these truths do you find most significant?
2. What does it mean for you personally that Jesus is “Immanuel”, God with us? Consider Jesus’ words to His disciples in the last verse of Matthew, 28:18-20, and Hebrews 13:5-6.
3. Can you think of a time when you knew you needed to obey God even though it was difficult? How does God’s presence in our lives make a difference? Consider Galatians 5:16-25.
4. Read Luke 1:26-38, and compare the angel’s encounter with Mary to Joseph’s encounter. Read Mary’s response in verses 46-55 as your own expression of worship to God our Savior!
