Once the walls were rebuilt, the people needed to be rebuilt. They needed to be right with God if they were to prosper as a nation. Spiritual work is important work and begins with the Word of God.
How do you respond to confrontation? Do you react with humility or anger? For followers of Jesus, confrontation should result in repentance, apologies, and stronger relationships. Nehemiah confronts the people of Jerusalem.
Sometimes we celebrate when a wall is torn down. Nehemiah leads a celebration of the completion of the rebuilt wall around Jerusalem.
The Commitment

The journey of the Jews in Jerusalem was at a critical stage. They heard the Word of God and confessed their sin. This is where most stop. Commitment is the strategic next step. Without commitment, nothing happens.
